How We Work

Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. Meet Our Team

Shane Bauman*

President, Financial Advisor

Shane Bauman has been in the Financial Services industry since 2011. During his 10+ years in financial services, Shane has served in the role of Advisor, Managing Director and President. He thoroughly enjoys helping professionals actualize their dreams and pursue their passions by utilizing financial services as a platform for success.

Prior to his career in Financial Services, Shane worked in various leadership and sales roles in the Real Estate, Marketing and Education sectors. His passion is in helping people reach their personal, business and career goals. He’s accomplished much of this in working with small business owners and entrepreneurs. With his extensive background in running small companies, Shane understands the challenges of wearing multiple hats while striving for the balance between a strong culture and maximum profitability. He helps advisors grow in the areas of: Retirement Income Planning (utilizing WBC); Wealth Accumulation; Liquidity; Income and Asset Protection; Investment Strategies; Group and Work-site Benefits; Advanced Business Planning and Estate Planning.

Born and raised in Colorado, Shane acquired his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Visual Arts. A resident of Castle Rock, he and his wife of 20 years, Jenni, have 3 amazing children- his son, Kade, who just graduated from ASU Law; daughter, Graissen, who attends CCU; and daughter, Macie, who is a high school senior. In his spare time, Shane enjoys hiking, fishing, men’s ministry, reading, movies and music.

Ivan Jones*

Financial Advisor


Ivan Jones began his career in financial services in 2011. As the owner of a property and casualty firm he quickly recognized the needs his clients had beyond the scope of their home and auto protection. His practice evolved and he began helping clients take a more holistic approach to financial decision making by helping them fit the "puzzle pieces" together. Ivan stepped into a leadership role in 2015, fueled with a passion to provide opportunities to ambitious people who desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others by guiding them during their unique financial journey. 

Ivan is a native of the great state of Colorado and grew up in northeast Denver. Prior to his career in the financial services industry, Ivan worked primarily in the sports industry with the Denver Broncos, Colorado 14ers, and the Denver Nuggets. 

Ivan has been married to his amazing wife Rachel for 18 years and they have 4 beautiful daughters, Kamaria (22), Alyra (18), Chloe (15) and Bailey (12). When he isn't working he enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, golfing, reading, crossfit, watching sports and joining an occasional pick up basketball game. 

Maggie Drucker

Executive VP of Culture and HR

Maggie Drucker has been educating people on financial practices for her entire career.  Initially working for healthcare companies, Maggie did benefit and 401(k) education for their over 10,000 employees.  This love expanded to include work in technology, the atmospheric / welding industry and eventually the beef industry.  Five years ago, she elected to further expand her knowledge through formal licensing and now shares her passion and knowledge with companies, their employees and individuals.

Maggie’s roots are grounded in the Midwest where she still has family in Iowa and cheers for Iowa State where she began her education.  She then ventured to California where she spent nearly twenty years in Sacramento and the Bay Area obtaining a Bachelor of Science and master’s at the University of San Francisco.

Indy and Sweet Pea (mother and daughter shepherds) are spoiled rotten by their newlywed “parents”, Eric and Maggie, and would spend all day every day at Cherry Creek Dog Park if allowed.  Fortunately, they all enjoy time in their yard with numerous perennial gardens – one of many passions.  Right about the time Maggie met the love of her life she trekked across Spain on the Camino de Santiago as she thoroughly loves international travel to include the study of good wine and food.  Down time also includes golf, learning to fly fish, hiking our beautiful state, and entertaining friends.

Raymond Master*

Executive VP of Operations, Financial Advisor


Raymond Master has been serving and leading people all of his adult life. Passionate about seeing people actualize their resources and enjoy their blessings, Ray brings two decades of leadership, education and counseling experience to every client. Ray joined the Financial Services industry in 2013. Ray lives in Arizona and enjoys serving people in his local community as well as in other states where he is licensed.

Prior to his career in Financial Services, Ray served in various leadership roles in Education, Small Businesses, and Churches. He has extensive experience in mentoring and coaching, and earned his Masters in Education in 2004. Ray’s ability to see the big picture while paying close attention to details allows him to convey a fully integrated approach to coaching and decision-making.

Ray and his wife, Amber, have four amazing children - Aaron (16), Daniel (14), Tanner (11), and Micayla (8). In his “spare time”, he enjoys activities with his family, jamming on the piano, reading, and watching movies.

Corey McNellis

Financial Professional

Corey McNellis is a third generation Colorado native who grew up in Parker.  Before getting into financial services, he spent 15 years in public education.  Corey served in various capacities at Ponderosa high school, including:  teaching, coaching and administration.  As a Head Wrestling Coach, Corey led his teams to eight league championships and two 5A state championships over a 9 year span.  Beyond any success enjoyed as a coach or educator, he values the relationships built and the journey towards the goal as the best part of the experience.  

Corey has always loved to serve others through educating/coaching them on how to reach their goals.  Financial services is an amazing opportunity that allows him to coach people on how to achieve financial goals.  Corey was drawn to work with RISE Financial because of its reputation, integrity and the quality of people he can learn from and collaborate with.      

 Outside of work, Corey and his patient wife, Tanya, have been married since 2003.  They share in the joys and challenges of raising 3 children.  Boys Teagan and Cayden are in High School and daughter Madison is in elementary school.  Corey and Tanya met as undergraduates at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He learned time management skills as a student-athlete (while constantly trying to impress her), and she studied fashion design.  Corey and Tanya look forward to attending Southeast Christian Church on Sundays and attending their life group on Tuesday nights.

John Harfert*

Financial Professional


John Harfert has been in the Financial Services industry for 30+ years. John’s background includes extensive Financial Services experience through many major economic challenges and amazing opportunities in our country’s history (Black Monday 1987, dot-com bubble early 2000’s, 2008 housing crash, unprecedented market growth 2009 up to today). His passion is to serve his clients and provide them creative solutions by implementing strategies that aim to deliver results, not hypothetical wishes. Many of his clients have been receiving sound financial strategies since the late 80’s. John’s time-tested experience of serving CEO’s, families, entrepreneurs, and companies has given him the depth of knowledge of markets, risk protection strategies, and the necessary guidance to help bring peace of mind, invaluable protection, and financial independence to his clients. His areas of focus are key employee strategies, retirement income strategies, and wealth accumulation and protection. By listening to the dreams and desires of his clients, John and his team can build financial strategies that can allow them to live the life of their dreams with more certainty, less stress, with suitable tools tailored to their unique situations.

His Colorado roots extend back to the pioneering days of Colorado in the early 1900’s where perseverance, faith, hard work, and promises made were promises kept, where values passed down and are the hallmarks of his business practice today. John gained a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. His wife Laurie is a Physical Therapist and his son Matthew is in a private Christian Middle School. They enjoy spending time together anywhere but especially in the mountains and at beaches, whether exploring, hiking, fishing, skiing, mountain biking. Currently, they are building a dream property in the Flathead Valley of Montana for friends, family, and missionaries to come and stay to be refreshed.

Nici Akey

Administrative Assistant

Nici’s experience in office management and leadership spans over 18+ years in various industries from agriculture to government and non-profit to pharmaceuticals.  She brings extensive leadership experience from the broad spectrum of connections over her career. 

Nici graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Ag Business.   Upon graduation she moved to Southeast Colorado and began a family.  She stayed home to raise her family and help with their family farm and ranch operation.  When her children were all in school, she was attracted back into the workforce and served as the Director for Economic Development for Phillips County.  She still serves on that board and enjoys finding ways to help local businesses and residents in her area.  Nici has served as Office Manager as well as her most recent roll as Assistant Administrator for her County. 

Nici has actively served on various boards spanning over 20+ years and enjoys developing relationships with those around her. 

Nici and her husband, Brian, reside in Holyoke, CO and have been there for over 17 years.   Their son, Wyatt is a Deputy in Eastern Colorado.  Their oldest daughter, Makenna resides in Wyoming as an auditor for a hotel in Laramie  Their youngest daughter, Sloane is attending college at Northeastern Junior College.  In her spare time, Nici enjoys spending time with her children and her grandchildren.  She also enjoys daily exercise, music, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and activities that allow her to grow spiritually. 

Reed Hogue*

Financial Advisor


Reed Hogue is a Colorado native and has been a financial services, investment, and insurance professional since his graduation from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business MBA program in 2000. 

Reed’s passion as a Financial Advisor centers around one key focus: caring for individuals and families’ financial well-being and success.  Throughout his professional career he has emphasized creating, implementing, and monitoring financial plans for persons of different financial stages and solving for the challenges and concerns that are unique to each.  He follows a disciplined financial process to assure clients are confident in their customized plan and monitors and discusses them often with each client.  He evaluates and utilizes an array of different solutions in the accumulation and distribution stages to create confidence and peace of mind.

Reed and his wife, Elizabeth, have two sons, Jack (9) and Henry (4), and a yellow lab, Elsie.  In his leisure time he enjoys flyfishing in Estes Park, Colorado as well as duck, goose, and pheasant hunting across the state.

Reggie Fontenot

Financial Professional


Reggie Fontenot grew up in South Louisiana, in an area which is considered “Cajun Country”. He personifies the ‘Laissez les bons temps rouler’ spirit of Louisiana. Colorado has been home to him for the last 30 years.

After graduating from the University of Louisiana in 1991, Reggie began his career in Medical Sales distribution and manufacturing. However, the financial services Industry is where his true passion lies. In 2000, after eight years in the medical sales industry he commenced his financial profession in the mortgage business. It eventually led him to a deeper interest in the financial professional profession. He currently serves his clients in developing comprehensive financial strategies, managing relationships with new and current clients, and training other professionals.

Reggie enjoys having conversations with people to discover their story and help them remove the intimidating element around money and taxes. He is passionate about making complex financial concepts approachable and easy to grasp and helping people align their finances with their personal values. One of his favorite parts of working with clients is watching them evolve from seeing money as a daunting source of anxiety to feeling empowered to use it as a tool in pursuit of what’s most important to them.

Reggie has a wife, PattyAnn, and two kids- Zach and Emily. He is passionate about his faith, family, and friends. Reggie is an avid outdoorsman who loves to: fish, hunt, adventure motorcycling, golf, and yes, have crawfish boils. Something most people don’t know about Reggie is that he has a big personality, a huge heart, and walks with absolute integrity.
